Withdrawal Policy

This English version is provided for information only. Only the German version is legally binding.

This policy applies to consumers (§ 13 BGB, German Civil Code). It covers every purchase in the Redefix shop: a license, an upgrade and a feature update. Redefix is digital content (software) that is not supplied on a tangible medium.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. You can also declare your withdrawal online using the function "Withdraw from contract"; we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt by email without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

In the case of a contract for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires when we have begun performance of the contract after

  1. you have expressly consented to our beginning performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period,
  2. you have acknowledged that by giving your consent you lose your right of withdrawal once performance of the contract begins, and
  3. we have confirmed the contract, including your declaration under numbers 1 and 2, to you on a durable medium (by email) (§ 312f (3) BGB)

(§ 356 (6) no. 2 BGB).

Your declaration when purchasing

Before each purchase, you tick a separate checkbox for this purpose. On the English pages of the shop it reads:

"I expressly request that Redefix be provided to me immediately (before the end of the withdrawal period). I am aware that by giving this consent I lose my right of withdrawal once performance of the contract begins."

On the German pages it reads (binding wording):

„Ich verlange ausdrücklich, dass Redefix mir sofort (vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist) bereitgestellt wird. Mir ist bekannt, dass ich durch meine Zustimmung mit Beginn der Ausführung des Vertrags mein Widerrufsrecht verliere."

We store the wording and the time of your declaration and reproduce both in the purchase confirmation by email.

Trial period

The 14-day trial period is free of charge and ends automatically. It is not a purchase; this policy does not apply to it.
